Imugan Falls Adventure


Imugan Falls is one of the famous spots in Nueva Vizcaya, a 35-foot waterfall in a dense forest surrounded by lush foliage. The rock formations along the bank serve as a picnic grounds for day visitors. The clean and cold basin of the falls is good for swimming since it is not so deep so visitors can enjoy more the cascading waters.

A trail leading to the top of the falls was also made for adventure seekers to explore more. Going to the falls is not difficult since the local government has established a trail and erected a bathroom and toilet near the area. Anyone can reach the falls in approximately thirty minutes hike from the jump-off point.

I'm not really sure what it is but there is something about waterfalls that leave me wanting more. Whatever it is, I love waterfalls and I simply cannot get enough of them. Luckily together with a mountainous landscape of Nueva Viscaya, Imugan is an amazing waterfall for visitors to enjoy. How to Get To Imugan Falls


Manila to Sta. Fe: Take a bus (Victory, Florida, Dalin, etc) with a signboard going either Tuguegarao City, Santiago City, Isabela, or Banaue. Basically, all the buses going to region 2 will pass the town of Sta. Fe, the trip will take five to seven hours. The town of Sta. Fe is the first town of Region 2 coming from Manila.

Sta. Fe to Imugan: After arriving at Sta. Fe, take a public jeepney morning that leaves 11:30AM, 1:00PM, 3:00PM, and 5:00PM. The jeepney stands by in front of the waiting shed of the Municipal Hall of Sta. Fe. The fare cost is Php18.00 per head and P15.00 per head for students. You can also rent a tricycle going to Imugan which is available the whole day. It cost Php135 for one way. Then, pay an entrance fee of Php25.00 per head at the Barangay Hall or in the store (Caslangan Store) near the Barangay Hall. After that, proceed to the jump-off point in the Halong area where you can see signboard going to the waterfalls. Read More
