Sungkilaw falls is also an awesome fall that lies beneath the mountain of Diwan, Dipolog City. It boasts a spring on the east part that flows to a very rapid fall down to a river. The habal-habal ride is worth it. We really enjoy the nature along the way, coconut trees, cool air, rice fields, high mountains, and the rough road which takes most of our time before we arrive at the falls. There is no entrance fee at that time when we went there. We take steps on their concrete stairs going down to falls and a nice garden. Read more.

Some distance away is a path with stairs descending into the length of the falls.  At the base is a pool where the water collects before flowing off again. It is very unusual to have salty water well on top of the mountain.  This is believed by the locals to have a medicinal effect due to its mineral concentration and I tried to taste some water and yes! it is very salty. Read more.

You can feel the sheer power of nature as white water cascades down against the side of weathered rock formation and splashing with force upon the waiting pool below, with mist adding mysticism to the view. A viewing deck nearby gives one a great vantage point to better appreciate the entirety of the falls. The water is cold and there is a current going to the waterfall. This area has huge rocks and the water is very clear and drinkable. Read more.
