Anzap Twin falls is one of the most tourist spots in Tarlac. It is located at Barangay Bigbiga, Mayantoc. It is 200 feet waterfalls which the volume of the water varies depending on the season. The area is surrounded by lush greenery and founders. Most of the trips going to the falls may require overnight camping for beginners. How to get there?
Take the SCTEX or Subic -Clark-Tarlac expressway for a hassle-free journey. It takes about 2hrs to 3hrs of leisure driving from Manila to Tarlac.
For the commuter, there are buses plying from Manila to Tarlac. Prepare Php250.00 for a one-way trip. The best way to get there is through a private vehicle or rented van.
From the city proper, it takes almost an hour to go to the jump point, Barangay Nambalan. From there, cross the Nambalan river for 15-20 minutes and have a picnic lunch. After grabbing lunch, the trek begins.
From the Nambalan river, it takes about 4hrs to 5minutes to hike to the Kawayan campsite where you can sleep and rest. This will prepare you for the trek to the ANZAP falls for you can swim in the freshwater coming from the Matibya and Piccan rivers.
