Kawa -Kawa falls is located in Bangcuangan, Sta. Cruz, Marinduque. Kawa means "basin" because of a basin-like appearance. There are actually two basins, one from the top and the second at the lower part. Because there is a light rainfall before we went there, the water became a little dark but rest assured that is clean since there are caretakers in the area and the water is flowing continuously. The Kawa Kawa falls are more like a series of small falls connected by streams and lakes which makes it more appealing. The spring water is really cool and I enjoyed it. You get to take a dip in the coming from the mountains, and I would like to think that it's full of minerals and healthy for our bodies. As the place is located in the middle of the mountains, it is surrounded by trees and is shaded, and the breeze is just as fresh and cool as it could be. The falls are so refreshing. Read more.

It's probably not as grand compared to the other hyped, more-loved, and well-established falls in the country but Marinduque's less-traveled gem called Kawa Kawa falls, has its fair share of those best of nature's works, which I think makes it as a worthy side trip once your feet lands on the historic home of the Moriones. Situated in the remote and forested area in Bancuangan, Sta. Cruz, it would surely take a few calories to burn to reach it. noting the slightly uphill trudge of the long hard road. The trek started after a few moments of rest freshly form the Maniuaya Island jaunt. Despite disappointments drop-wise flow of the water during that time (since it was a summer season)and the uninviting feel out of tiredness, my nerves that long for a refreshing plunge still prevailed to have a test on the waters. Surprisingly it's deep, in simple ways. Summing the pluses and the negatives up the falls still have a lot of boast about. Read more.
The falls are blessed being inhabited by a school of fishes that offers an instant foot spa. Upon dipping on to the ice-cold water, these fish species promptly feasted on our feet' dead and callused skin like there's no tomorrow, nature's own brand of a luxurious pedicure so to stay. And the ticking sensations they bring are way to relaxing in effect. Yet another majestic feature of this falls is its intimately-private feel. Usually, there were practically not many visitors around the are. Though during our visit there was that one group who were before we came. The indulging rivulet, the natural cleanliness, and the refreshing coolness, all count to its being a wondrous getaway. Read more.

- From Brgy. Bangcuangan, you can take habal habal which cost you Php 50.00 more or less. Looks very mysterious and remote to me. I guess it was only 5 to 7 feet in height. But nevertheless, it has several pools where you can swim.
