Some mountaineers did misunderstand that they have already found the Panigan Falls, but, don't be misled, the main source is actually coming from a cave's orifice and the main falls is situated there.

Panigan Falls is estimated to be of three meters and five meters wide side by side. The source of this system was not yet been known and where the water originated.

How To Get to Panigan Falls

  • Take a bus from Koronadal City to Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat. Fare is Php 47.00
  • From the town of Tacurong, take a bus bound for Isulan, Sultan Kudarat. Fare is Php16.00
  • From  Isulan, take a bus bound for Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat. Fare is Php18.00
  • Hire a habal-habal to Panigan Falls. Fare is Php400.00 back and forth. Travel time through habal-habal takes roughly two hours and thirty minutes.


Panigan Falls Travel Tips

  • There is an ATM machine in Esperanza town proper if you wish to withdraw some cash.
  • Major mobile networks have signal in the town proper but not in the mountainous area where Panigan Underground River and waterfalls is situated.
  • Leave early as you can, you'll be passing around three checkpoints as you go into the mountain range of Esperanza and have to pass private properties along the way.
  • Secure gate pass from the Tourism Office of Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat.
  • Buy food and drinking water from town proper for lunch and snacks.
  • You need to leave the place early because you have to pass the third checkpoint before 4PM or else you have to remain overnight in Panigan.
  • Wear a comfortable outfit
  • Always dispose of your garbage properly.
