Bayugao Falls in Luna, Apayao |
Bayugao Falls is located in Barangay Turod in the municipality of Luna, province of Apayao. It is a multi-tiered waterfall with a height of 40 feet. It is famous in the province as a picnic area both for locals and tourists from nearby towns. Its crystal clear water entices visitors for a plunge!

This waterfall is nestled in the forested area of Marag Valley. It has three stages about twelve meters from each other providing choices for Instagrammable pictures. The second level is used as a swimming pool because of its deep basin approximately ten meters deep.

This tourist attraction is just four kilometers away from the Poblacion. Bayugao Falls is also close to Lusok Underground River so double the fun when visiting Apayao.
How To Get to Bayugao Falls?
First, you have to coordinate with the LGU and Tourism Department of Luna before going to visit the area.
From Manila by Public Transportation: There are man buses bound for Apayao. You can take Florida Bus Linne, Northstar, RCJ, or Rivera Transit. If possible, take one that will go straight to Luna. When there's no available, just take a bus bound for Cagayan and alight at Junction Luna Terminal in Abulug, Cagayan. From there, take a tricycle to Luna.
By Air: Book a flight bound for Tuguegarao City in Cagayan. From there, take a van or bus bound for Luna or take a tricycle and tell the driver to take you to Junction Luna Terminal in Abulug, Cagayan. Upon reaching the junction, take another tricycle to Luna town proper.
Bayugao Falls Entrance Fee:
There's an entrance fee that costs Php30.00 for every visitor.
