With an elevation of 140 feet and a strong torrent coming from the forested highland of the mighty Sierra Madre mountain range, Mother Falls is a spectacular icon of the province.

During the wet months of the year, usually from August to October, the cascading waters were so strong the vicinity becomes misty - awesome, but it will be hard to take pictures for photography lovers.

From the jump-off point, there were already several stalls selling food and snack items. So if you come here and haven't had anything to eat yet, no worries, you will find something to tide you over. Mind the rules, though.

There is no admission and parking was only Php20.00. Drink up here because no plastic bottles are allowed on the trail or at the falls. We began our hike to Dimatubo Falls crossing the stream and on a gravel roadway through the entrance area where plastic bottles, etc. are collected. The first part of the trek is a leisurely walk up the mountain where we took photo opportunities along the way. Read More
