Malanta-og Falls |
Malatan-og Falls is located in the municipality of Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental. It is called a cigarette waterfall. This fall is the tallest in Negros and the area still undeveloped. Falls can be viewed along the highway. It takes 30 to 45 minutes to get to the falls depending on your pace according to our guide. You will pass rice terraces and river crossings along the trek to the falls. Its chilly weather is similar to that of Tagaytay or Baguio. People are nice and it's guaranteed pollution-free! A welcome respite for backpackers who are seeking to commune with nature. Read more.

It was so cold, that we will start to shiver and get out of the water after 10 minutes or so. There were multiple waist-deep basins downstream, a treat for bad swimmers like me. Read more.

Enjoying the place with my friends will make a memorable moment and experience I had in my life. The water is cold as ice. It is surrounded by small to big rocks. It's purely natural. No stores, no houses, no cottages, no chairs nor tables. Just enjoy the shade of the trees around. Sit on the stone and feel the breeze of the air. Once in a while, it really hits people that they don't have to experience the world in the way they have been told to. Read more.
