Sungkilaw Falls is a fantastic sight that many locals and foreign tourists really love to visit and explore, which is located in the Sitio Virginia, Barangay Diwan in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte. A perfect waterfalls for the visitors to recognize and enjoy the attractiveness of the waterfalls. Sungkilaw falls is also an awesome fall that lies beneath the mountain of Diwan, Dipolog City. It boasts a spring on the east part that flows to a very rapid fall down to a river. The habal-habal ride is worth it. We really enjoy the nature along the way, coconut trees, cool air, rice fields, high mountains, and the rough road which takes most of our time before we arrive at the falls. There is no entrance fee at that time when we went there. We take steps on their concrete stairs going down to falls and a nice garden. Read more.

At the base is a pool where the water collects before flowing off again. The visitors can swim in the clear, cold water from the many natural springs upstream. Amazingly, Sungkilaw falls is one of the best waterfalls in the Philippines. It is very unusual to have salty water well on top of the mountain. A viewing deck nearby gives one a great vantage point to better appreciate the entirety of the falls. The water is cold and there is a current going to the waterfall.
