Tagnote Falls

Tagnote Fals is a two tiered waterfall situated in Sitio Tagnote in Barangay San Antonio in the town of Remedios T. Romualdez, also known as RTR. Its beauty is God's masterpiece. Lush forest, clear waters and tumbling waterfalls will be experience by a visitor of the area.

The magnificent crystal clear water of Tagnote Falls flows year-round in astounding volume. There are plenty of trees close to the area that serve as shade for tourists. A huge flat rock in the vicinity can be used as tables and chairs. Camping is possible or say, ideal in the area.

The basin can accommodate fifteen persons and is ten square meters wide. Two natural pools can be found on top and another down below the waterdrop as the widest.

There is also a swimming pool in the are and its water source comes from the waterfalls. Tagnote Falls is considered a true gem of the town of Remedios T. Romualdez.

How To Get to Tagnote Falls


From Butuan City: Take a bus, van, or jeepney bound for Remedious T. Romualdez town proper. Travel time takes 45 minutes to an hour. From RTR town, hire a habal-habal going to Barangay San Antonio. Habal-habal ride takes 15 to 20 minutes. From the jump-off point, trek 1.5 kilometers to Tagnote Falls.

Alas! all is not perfect in the land of waterfalls. I have one major grievance with Tagnote Falls' management. The restrooms although well built aren't clean. Or at least it was the last time I used the facilities. All stalls in the female cubicles were filthy. Yuck! If you go there I hope they did something about it.
