Salugsog Falls is one of the two waterfalls in Calintaan town of Occidental Mindoro. The other waterfall is called Makatiklas falls which is more famous than Salugsog Falls.

Salugsog Falls Description

Salugsog Falls is located in Barangay Malpalon in Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro. This cascading waterfall is a 10-minute walk from the municipal road. Trekking to this waterfall will make you feel so close to nature because of the lush greeneries and flowering plants on the trail. The short walk will be worthwhile as an add on to the sight of the waterfalls.

The vicinity of the waterfalls covered by canopies. A large boulder hampering the lower cascade of the fall makes a good spot for photo opp. It is best to visit the place during the rainy season to see its beauty.

How to Reach Salugsog Falls?

Salugsog Falls is in an off-beaten path of Calintaan town. Though it is just a 10-minute walk from the national road, it is best to ask the locals in the area. Inquire at the Mapalpon Barangay Hall for a guide.

Travel time from San Jose town takes two hours and a half. From Calintaan town proper, Mapalpon Barangay Hall will be approximately one hour and twenty minutes.
